In the last three years, I have been part of an incredible team that put together two iase.disa.mil web sites. The two sites, one public, the other private were built on top of SharePoint 2010 architecture and customized to fit the clients needs. I served as the team SharePoint expert, helping to make some of the more complicated customer requests a reality. Both sites were built without using any third party supplemental applications. The site was delivered in late 2014 with one rather large caveat: We were able to place the entire public website on the public cloud. The public cloud option was a first for the Information Assurance Support Environment at Defense Information Systems Agency. It showcased not only our ability to create a fantastic UI/UX version of SharePoint, but also allowing us to prove that we can deliver it in a secure environment.
